Empowering employees
George J.
Senior Manager - Digital Production
A management professional with a background in mathematics, George has 18+ years of experience in the publishing industry, cross-functional experience in requirement and data analysis, project transition/implementation, operations, and process management. He rose from project leader to senior manager within the digital production team. As a project leader, he handled the projects independently, moving on to become a production manager, managing clients to his current post now – senior production manager in charge of the eBook division.
In 2015, he moved to the then newly opened Ranipet Unit and helped support the recruitment activities as well as training and managing projects.
George is proud of the fact that he manages a 200+ team and even prouder of the fact that he was instrumental (along with his coworkers) in creating the best production team to handle all EPUB and XML conversion. He believes that the more he learns, the further he will go. He remembers with pride the many appreciation emails he received from Thomson Reuters, OUP, and Infobase clients and in successfully delivering 2000+ titles in a short span of time.
He cites himself as an example of the kind of growth that Newgen offers to its employees. He is quite impressed by the culture at Newgen: ‘always empowering employees and providing the necessary support’.
