Newgen has worked closely with many publishers for the past decades on the digital conversion of various books and journal publications. Newgen now offers a new technology to transform the data to the digital mode based on a concept called “Conversion on Demand (CoD).” We believe that the wide variety of projects from different sources we have worked on for eBook creation has developed our ability to create robust workflow and technology solutions that are responsive to the evolving needs of the CoD concept.

Conversion on Demand will help publishers address the primary challenges they face in getting their projects digitally converted, that is, establishing the conversion process, assuring device compatibility and other features to make their publications digitally converted and faster turnarounds.

Newgen has built an in-house tool to deliver eBooks on fast turnarounds based on the client’s requirements and has also developed a user-friendly web portal for publishers to access and register their orders for their titles to get converted for distribution to the required eBook platform. A less cost-effective and user-friendly application will be set up for end-users to easily access their content for conversion.

Long after the introduction of the EPUB 3 specification, EPUB 2 remains the commonest format for ebook conversion because of its broad support across retailers, distributors, and devices. But not all EPUB files are created equal. We pay attention to the details that ensure the best reading experience.

    >> And if you need EPUB 3, we can produce EPUB 3 files that fall back to EPUB 2 on devices and reading systems that don’t yet fully support the updated version of the EPUB specification

Fixed-layout conversion is typically used for children’s stories, cookery books, travel guides, comics, corporate materials, and other highly illustrated content where the physical relationships between different elements on the printed page is critical to the reader’s understanding.
